Chad and Dyanna ~ Engagement

I am so excited about this session that I could not even wait until tomorrow to post it! Chad and Dyanna absolutely rocked everything about this! Tim and I had such a good time with them and I cannot believe how much fun they were and how great they are together. God has truly blessed me with a job where I get to capture people in love... what better job is there?

Thank you Chad and Dyanna again for coming out! It was such a wonderful day and you two are gorgeous :)

I realized I have never actually sat down and taken photos of my business cards and thank you cards that I adore oh so much! There has been so much put into making them and I just love looking at them and thinking they are mine :) I know that sounds silly, but I just can't help but smile when I see them. Tim did such an amazing job on my logo (and helping with the cards designs as well) and I have to say thank you so much to him for it! He is seriously so creative and it is fun to hear people say, "oh I see the B, M, and P in the logo!" I bet you will be looking closely now to see it yourself (just tilt your head to the right when you find each letter) :)

Random fun

Tim and I went out the other day to have a little fun. He took me to Dudley's Bakery, the bakery that has his favorite bread. He was pretty much correct (aside from my mom's homemade bread of course) It was fabulous! Then we took some photos and had more fun :)

Adalyn's 1st birthday

Well I decided it is about time I blogged this session. Adalyn is just about to turn two :) I was not blogging yet when I did this session, but this family means so much to me and they are soo adorable, that I could not resist putting them up! I am seriously so blessed to know the Mathis family! They are so incredible and loving, oh and absolutely a BLAST to hang out with!

Thank you guys for allowing me in your lives, I am so blessed to be called your friend. You two are amazing and your family is absolutely beautiful! I cannot wait for all the fun times to come :) I love you

I am not sure if I have ever mentioned before that I like to read, but I do... ALOT! I have a slight obsession with it actually and once I pick up a good book, I usually finish it within that day or very soon after. I have to say that my favorite author is Robin Jones Gunn and if you have never checked her out... please do if you want some great new books! Anyway, I ran out of all the books I had to read and was wanting some new books. I got some for Christmas which totally excited me! Then today I got home and walked in my room and oh the excitement when I saw this...

My sister is awesome! She lives in another state, so it stinks to have her so far away. She sent me some books and a gift card for me to buy more... OH MAN... I cannot wait to start a new series!!! I hear that Karen Kingsbury is a great writer, so I am very excited! It should last me a month or two :)

I have been so bad at staying up to date lately! I can't believe how fast time is going by. This past year has been such a wonderful year and it seems like only yesterday that we were ringing in 2008... but it was 2009 instead, crazy. I am so excited to see what God has in store for this coming year! I have some goals that I have set and look forward to seeing what happens. I am so amazingly blessed and want to say thank you to everyone who has been a part my life. I love you all so much and I pray that God blesses you all beyond your wildest dreams :)

What is a blog post without some fun photos? We got the most snow we have had since probably before I was born, so of course I have to share some photos from it. I also have some from the holiday season that I will be posting this next week as well. For now enjoy the snow :)

Josh and Kelly ~ Day after

I started blogging a short while after Josh and Kelly got married and am thinking now that I need to go back and add their wedding pictures here! They had an amazing wedding in Newport Beach, CA and I was so happy to be a part of it!

I absolutely adore Kelly! We clicked from the moment we met and over the past year have become really close. She is gorgeous on the inside and out and everything about her screams BEAUTIFUL!!! I am so thankful that I have her as a friend and for the fun coffee dates we have :) I did not actually meet Josh until their wedding, but he walked right up to me and introduced himself and was so genuinely nice and welcoming. He is so much fun to be around!

We went out to La Jolla and decided after about 5 months of being married, we should really get to their day after photos! Kelly and I had it planned for months, but we took forever actually picking out a day! I think when you see these you will know why I love what I do! Talk about model couple! Thank you guys for allowing me to shoot you :)

Caffeine please!

I have not done many personal posts on here. It has mostly been photography sessions which I love, but I realized I should probably share a little more of me with the photos as well.

Having seven nieces and nephews to love on makes every moment with them exciting! Last night was no exception.

My sister invited me to go out to dinner last night with her and her family and I gladly accepted. I do not get to spend nearly enough time with them and the sad thing is they live about a street away from me. We got to the restaurant and got settled in the booth. The waitress came over to take our drink order. My sister ordered some lemonade, I ordered some water, my seven year old niece Samantha ordered some chocolate milk... then came my three year old niece Miranda's turn to order. Without thinking twice she said, "I will have some caffeine!" That's right, she ordered a cup of caffeine. My sister does not allow her kids to have caffeine and apparently the three year old is like every other person in the world... she wants what she cannot have :)

Jonathan and Debbie ~ Day after

I had sooo much fun with Jonathan and Debbie last week! Tim and I went out to shoot their day after session and it was such a nice day. I am overly blessed to do what I do and to have the friends I have and they are no exception! We headed out to Seaport Village in San Diego to start the day out. Come to find out Jonathan had surprised Debbie by getting them a night at The Ivy hotel, talk about romantic! So of course we had to head over there and take some pictures there as well!

Jonathan and Debbie, we had such a wonderful time with you guys. I am so happy that I had the chance to spend some time with you! We will have to do it again soon :)

He even had chocolate covered strawberries and champaign waiting for her when they got to the room!!!

I know I said it before, but I will say it again... they are simply stunning!

Back and forth ;)

Well I have been going back and forth between the Desert and San Diego quite a bit. I am loving being able to spend more time in San Diego and shooting more there! Spending time with my guy is still my favorite thing about it though ;) I spent the past two days doing day after shoots and wanted to give a little peak at what is to come from them. Enjoy!

P.S. no one has to tell me how incredibly lucky I am to get to shoot such beautiful people, I am already well aware of it!

Chad and Jamie ~ Wedding

This post is long overdue! I adore this wedding and this couple :) Jamie holds such a special place in my heart and this was such an exciting wedding to be a part of! My friendship with Jamie is something that I cannot even completely explain. We met in the most random of ways three years ago... on myspace... she lives in WA and I live in CA and after becoming good friends online we found out that Jamie is my brother in law's cousin! Not only that, but she even came to my house after my sister was married like 8 years ago! It was one of those moments that I will never forget. We were both in shock to find out we were somewhat related. I know that she and I are supposed to be friends! We have been through so much together in the past three years. Once again, something I can't completely explain :) All I know is that I would not have missed being in Washington for her wedding for just about any reason.

Watching Jamie and Chad's relationship grow has been so exciting for me. They started out as really good friends and it slowly turned into this amazing love for one another. I actually did not get to meet Chad until I flew in the week of the wedding, but man they have an incredible relationship! I knew it was different when Jamie and I would talk, but actually getting to be around them was such a wonderful thing to experience! I will never forget Jamie texting me and telling me to call her right away. I called her back and when she answered I screamed "YOU GOT ENGAGED!!!" before any words could come out of her mouth :) He he I love her so much! It has been such a blessing being her friend and experiencing so much of life together, even while living in separate states.

Jamie and Chad thank you so much for allowing me to celebrate with the two of you! I could not be more excited or happy to see how much you two love one another. Jamie, thank you for being my friend and of course cousin ;) Thank you for remaining my friend through the ups and downs. I know we will be friends forever and I thank God for placing you in my life. It is still the most bizarre and crazy thing I have been through!

Tim and Shannon ~ Just because

Tim and Shannon are two of my best friends. I love them so much! I had the urge to take some random photos one day just for fun, so they got a phone call saying they had to come take photos :) I pretty much told them to drop what they were doing and it did not matter if Tim had school or not (ok not really, I let him finish class) I thought I would share a few fun photos from the day. Jonathan and Debbie ~ Wedding

I have thought long and hard about what I would say in this post, and I am still having trouble putting into words just how much this wedding day meant to me. I have known Debbie for years now. We worked together for a few years and have been friends for even longer. I can say with all my heart that if I could have chosen just one person to have the happiest day of their life this year… it would without a doubt be Debbie. Last year I saw Debbie go through a very very painful time in her life, with the loss of her father and brother. The reason I am mentioning this is because with everything I saw her go through, I learned what true joy and faith really is in someone’s life. She is one of the most encouraging and joyful people to be around, even during the most painful times in her life. It is so easy to be joyful when times are great, but what I have seen and learned through being friends with Debbie has taught me so much about life and what faith in the Lord really is. I just want to say thank you to her for what she has taught me and for the example of what a Godly woman she is.

When I heard that she was engaged I was grinning from ear to ear. Jonathan has been such a wonderful example of what a husband should be, long before they decided to get married. With all I have seen Debbie go through, I have also seen Jonathan go through it with her and be by her side through it all. He has been nothing but supportive and loving to Debbie and I am so thrilled that they are married!!!

Debbie and Jonathan, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day. It meant so much to be able to capture such an amazing day. You two are such a blessing and your wedding was absolutely stunning. I could not have pictured anything better. I love you guys and pray that you have many blessings in your marriage :)

I was soo excited for this shoot! Heather and Tommy are friends from Bible study and are such an awesome couple. I love getting to hang out with them and over the past few months Heather and I have become really good friends. They are so great together and as you will see from the photos, they know how to have fun! Heather pretty much said we trust you, do what you think will look good. We both wanted San Diego so I thought Balboa Park would be a lot of fun. We were going to go a few places, but we got so caught up with Balboa that we ended up there the whole day! I can't wait for their wedding next year! Thank you Tommy and Heather for such a fun day! We had such a great time with you two :)

As far as the pictures go, I have to give credit where credit is due... not only did Tommy and Heather do a great job having fun and looking good, but my boyfriend is seriously one of the most creative people I know! I bribed him to come along and help me and after looking at the pictures you will know why! Thanks Timmy Neutron, you are wonderful :)

Another year...

It seems like the older I get the faster time goes. I cannot believe how fast this past year has gone by, but it has and I am officially 26. I went out to eat for my birthday and one of the workers asked how old I was and I seriously drew a blank... I could not remember. I am so excited to see what this next year has in store for me and am so thankful for all the blessings God brings to my life! Thank you to everyone who helped make my birthday so special! You are all truly amazing and I cannot begin to tell each of you how much I love you!

San Diego and two amazing people!

I just got back from San Diego where I had an incredible couple days! I had the privilege of taking pictures for Lauren and Myles. Lauren has been a friend of mine for a couple years now and I was so excited to be able to take photos for the two of them! She and her boyfriend Myles are heading back to college next month, so we decided to take some photos for when they are apart and also took some of Lauren so that she can update her portfolio. We started at the beach and did some photos on and under the pier and then we went back to Lauren's family's place and did some photos there... this was every photographer's dream because as you will see from the photos, not only does Lauren do some modeling...she and Myles were the dream couple to work with, but I could not have asked for a better place to take photos, then the incredible place the family lives at! I could have spent so much more time taking photos of them and we were out the whole day! I don't think I could have taken a bad photo if I tried with the situation I was in! Thank you so much Lauren and Myles for allowing me the opportunity to take your photos! It was so much fun and I have no idea why I am so blessed to be able to do what I do! You two were incredible and I am here anytime you need any photos :)
